Sometimes I wonder if I’ll ever do right
If in this life I will continue to fight
To fight for what is mine and
The promises he has made
Do I have the strength or will I
Crumble and fade
Alone I have no strength I know
But only in him alone will I
Stand
How do I do it? Wait… He just asks for my
Hand
Why is it so hard for me to accept and surrender?
I fed my flesh daily and it gets stronger
I don’t want to do this any longer
But will my will to do what is right surpass
This incriminating desire to abate
I will never make it at this rate
But it’s not what he destined for me
When will I see?
When will I allow Jesus to heal me and set me
Free
And pick me up from my own decay
When will I allow him to lead the way?
So again I turn to Jesus and Pray
Hoping to see light at the end
Of my day

Stand Firm
Exodus 14:13-15
13 Moses answered the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. 14 The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still."
Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today! I love in the bible when it tells us to stand firm. To stand firm to me is to stand solid, unyielding. Through standing firm Moses says the Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord is speaking to me through this scripture. Some of the problems I face today I will never see them again. My God is going to fight for me, all I have to do is be still and stand firm. The Israelite's were afraid of the Egyptians, but God through Moses lead them through on dry ground with a wall of water on their right and on their left. Once they were safe God told Moses to stretch his hand so that the waters would flow back over the Egyptians. The Egyptians realized that God was fighting for the Israelites. When are we going to realize that he is fighting for us. Are we going to be afraid, or are we going to hold on to his promise that we will see deliverance and that our seas will divided to the right and to the left so that we may walk on solid ground.
We can walk through anything on solid ground when we be still and know that he is God. Regardless of our circumstances, failures, issues, whatever the case may be. He is capable of taking out all that tries to destroy us even when we don't see the when or the how. We have to believe in his promise to us.
Galatians 5:1 says, "It is for Freedom that Christ has set us free, stand firm, then and do not be burdened again by a yoke of slavery."
God wants to deliver us for Freedom so that we won't be burdened with slavery. So that we won't be a slave to sin. I don't want to be a slave to sin. I will believe that he will deliver me from all my enemies and I will stand firm on his promises.
I hope you will too!
