Mirror
Lord do you see me?
Tell me what you see
I stare in a mirror and only
Ugly stares back at me
Is it a lie? I wonder,
It can’t be true
But then again I am ugly
When I don’t have you
When you’re not brightly shining through
Me
When I allow my sins to tear us apart
Continuing each day a little more breaking your
Heart
I know what I choose is not right
But when will I admit this battle is not mine
To fight
I can be alive in you
But I stay dead in my sin
Losing more of the battle
Questioning the war and who will win
And Lord who do you see when you
Look at me?
Lord I need to know
Your words says we will reap what we sow
How did I get here, How did I get
So low
I don’t want to look at me and see
What I see
I want to see the truth in me
I want you to once and for all
Set me free

I Wonder
Sometimes I wonder if I’ll ever do right
If in this life I will continue to fight
To fight for what is mine and
The promises he has made
Do I have the strength or will I
Crumble and fade
Alone I have no strength I know
But only in him alone will I
Stand
How do I do it? Wait… He just asks for my
Hand
Why is it so hard for me to accept and surrender?
I fed my flesh daily and it gets stronger
I don’t want to do this any longer
But will my will to do what is right surpass
This incriminating desire to abate
I will never make it at this rate
But it’s not what he destined for me
When will I see?
When will I allow Jesus to heal me and set me
Free
And pick me up from my own decay
When will I allow him to lead the way?
So again I turn to Jesus and Pray
Hoping to see light at the end
Of my day

Stand Firm
Exodus 14:13-15
13 Moses answered the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. 14 The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still."
Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today! I love in the bible when it tells us to stand firm. To stand firm to me is to stand solid, unyielding. Through standing firm Moses says the Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord is speaking to me through this scripture. Some of the problems I face today I will never see them again. My God is going to fight for me, all I have to do is be still and stand firm. The Israelite's were afraid of the Egyptians, but God through Moses lead them through on dry ground with a wall of water on their right and on their left. Once they were safe God told Moses to stretch his hand so that the waters would flow back over the Egyptians. The Egyptians realized that God was fighting for the Israelites. When are we going to realize that he is fighting for us. Are we going to be afraid, or are we going to hold on to his promise that we will see deliverance and that our seas will divided to the right and to the left so that we may walk on solid ground.
We can walk through anything on solid ground when we be still and know that he is God. Regardless of our circumstances, failures, issues, whatever the case may be. He is capable of taking out all that tries to destroy us even when we don't see the when or the how. We have to believe in his promise to us.
Galatians 5:1 says, "It is for Freedom that Christ has set us free, stand firm, then and do not be burdened again by a yoke of slavery."
God wants to deliver us for Freedom so that we won't be burdened with slavery. So that we won't be a slave to sin. I don't want to be a slave to sin. I will believe that he will deliver me from all my enemies and I will stand firm on his promises.
I hope you will too!

When life gets in the way
Sometimes life can throw you off course. You wake up one day to find yourself at a crossroad and you question how you got there. Lately I have been going through a difficult season in my life. I have questioned my purpose, I had lost sight of the things that were important to me. I got off the course. Looking back I now know how I got there. Things began to unravel for me and instead of holding on to the promises I had in him, I choose to try to make things happen on my own. Don't we all know that taking things into our own hands never works out the way we want. There are so many things that can get in our way, try to distract us and keep us from living the life that God wants for us. I don't want to get in Gods way any longer, I am stepping aside and allowing him to do it. I don't know what the future holds, all I know is that he has it in his hands.
Be Encouraged! Fix your eyes on him! Let him be your portion!

Bad fruit, Good fruit?
Luke 6:43-45
No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. 44Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. 45The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.
I love this part "For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks." Wow, how true is that. Whatever is in our heart we will speak. Lord I want goodness in my heart and I want to speak of your goodness. Create in me a clean heart oh Lord!
I thank God that he is in control of our circumstances and that we don't have to put our trust in man. Even when we become disappointed or discouraged our hope is in the Lord. I want to be encouraged today to have goodness flow from my heart to my mouth and to rely on the Lord for my strength. He is faithful and the work that he started he intends to finish.
Lord I want the fruits of the spirit and I want to bear good fruit. So that those who see me, will see you in me.

His mercies are new every morning
I wake up today with a new excitement for life, for my life. I am so grateful that I serve a God who loves me, forgives me and gives me an abundance of second chances. Today my husband goes before a panel of executives for his final interview to get approved to be a Statefarm Agent. This could be and I believe is the beginning of the rest of our lives. It's God's promise he made to us in the beginning of the year unfolding. If for some reason he does not get approved, then we must have faith and believe and trust God that this wasn't the right time. But we stepped out in faith and made the decision to take action. In that alone God will honor it. It's the act of obedience even when you scared and don't know the future.
The goodness of the Lord surpasses all understanding. I cannot even fathom how he still loves me. But I don't want to give glory to those things that are behind me now, I press on towards the goal, the prize. I am gonna finish this race sprinting to the finish line, not barely making it. Gone are the days of lingering in my flesh. Today I profess that I am made new in him. Great is his faithfulness and his loving kindnesses. This morning I read Colossians 3. The beginning tells us to set our hearts on the things above. To set our minds on the things above and not on earthly things. I find that when I set my mind on him and he becomes my one and only focus everything else after that just seems to be right. Not perfect, but I have peace and the knowledge that through him all things are possible and I don't have to do it alone. It also says "put to death whatever belongs to our earthly nature." Put to death, to me this means so much. For me to die to my flesh and put to death, all things that are of my earthly nature. Lord that is my desire, that I may be more like you. I am ever so grateful for the love and peace of Christ in my life!

LORD I RUN TO YOU
Lord I Run To You
Lord I run to you
I fall at my knees
Begging for mercy
Forgive me please
I have fallen down
Please lift me up from this filthy ground
Make me new in you
Delight again in me
I know your mercies are new every morning
Can I have them again today?
Can you cleanse me, purify me
And make a way
Lord I need your forgiveness
Lord I need your love
I can’t go on in this life
Without it
Lord I run to you
I surrender my all
Please catch me again when I
Fall
I know it won’t be easy
But without you I can’t be free
Please do the work that you have
Purposed for me
Take my heart, take my hand
Do your will, your perfect plan
I say yes Lord to you again
Please be my love, my everlasting friend
It’s you alone that I search for
It’s only you that can make me whole
Create in me a right spirit and break
Me free from bondage
That I may live free
I call upon you in my darkest hour
Praying for your peace and your power
It is you that I desire
Spark in me a newness and ignite a
Fire
A fire that cannot be quenched
Rain on me and fill my every inch
Lord I run to you
Please catch me and make me
new
